October Is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

According to the Centers for Disease Control, every year, more than 250,000 women get breast cancer in the United States and as many as 42,000 women die from breast cancer every year. In an effort to raise awareness of the deadly cancer and encourage more women to receive early screenings.

Women over the age of 50 are most susceptible to breast cancer, which can manifest as changes in size or shape of breasts, pain in areas of the breast or lumps in the area. Medical professionals encourage women to seek breast cancer screenings early, as mammograms can catch the disease early. For more information from the CDC, please click here.
