Help For Food Insecure

January 25, 2021

While Connecticut ranks among the healthiest states in the country, a closer look at health data reveals major disparities by race and ethnicity – differences that result in poorer health, premature deaths, and hundreds of millions of dollars in unnecessary health care costs. “We have the extraordinary opportunity to be innovative and deliberate to ensure that all people have access to optimal nutrition options despite their race, ethnicity, culture, or socioeconomic status through diversity and community collaboration” urges Amos Smith, CEO.

Beginning January 25th through September 2021, CAANH will partner with Edge of the Woods, City Seed New Haven, Gateway Community College, City of New Haven and King/Robinson Inter-district Magnet School to continue to help change people's lives. The HOPE Voucher Program embodies the spirit of hope, improve our communities, and makes America a better place to live.
