Executive Order Update

Earlier this month, Governor Lamont issued several executive orders to address on-going COVID-19 relief. This batch of orders are geared toward moving our economy closer to reopening while providing the necessary supports to those impacted by the pandemic, including paid leave for school employees.

These executive orders are an example of the collaborative working relationship between the legislative and executive branches. We are attempting to build on the Governor’s executive orders and develop solutions for the long-term and the post-pandemic recovery.
