It was an honor to attend the Irish Canal Laborer Memorial event in Windsor Locks. The event honors the 400 Irish immigrants who hand dug the canal.  This celebration is so special because it recognized the people that gave Windsor Locks its start as a town. Some of  their descendants still live in the area.  They continue to be a proud, hard-working, people with a vision for their town.  They care for their neighbors and their community!
