The Summer Olympic Games are set to begin tomorrow, July 23. Six athletes from Connecticut qualified for the games and will represent America in their respective sport. I wanted to take a moment and congratulate them on their accomplishment.

Liam Corrigan and Austin Hack of Old Lyme are members of the rowing team. Alyssa Naeher of Stratford is the goalkeeper for the US Women's National Soccer Team. Alexis Sablone of Old Saybrook will compete in Skateboarding competition, and Ridgefield native Kieran Smith is a member of the swim team. Matthew Torres of Ansonia is a part of the U.S. Paralympic swim team.
