Funding For New Haven

I am extremely pleased that New Haven has featured prominently in this round of funding, especially the improvement project I worked on for Towers at Towerlane that provides many quality services for the elderly. I thank Governor Ned Lamont and everyone who made these various projects possible.

Items approved by the Bond Commission:

Housing

Kensington Square II Project - Rehabilitation of 96 units of mixed income housing - $4 million

State/Chapel housing redevelopment project - Create 76 units of housing, with 60 affordable units - $2.5 million

340 Dixwell Ave housing redevelopment project - Create 69 units of housing, with 51 affordable - $1 million

Towers at Towerlane - Capital improvements to residential common space - $2 million

 

Other Projects

Long Wharf floodwall - Design a floodwall to protect homes and businesses along the Long Wharf section of New Haven - $220,000

101 College Street - Assist with the design and construction of tunnels, driveways, and city sidewalk improvements associated with the development of an office building at 101 College Street - $2 million

West Rock Community Center - Reconstruction of the West Rock Community Center facility - $550,000

 

State Facilities

New Haven Armory - New HVAC and standby generator $1,078,000

New Haven Superior Court - Cellblock HVAC Improvements - $550,250

New Haven Judicial District - Rebuild chiller - $60,000

New Haven Juvenile Court - HVAC rooftop unit replacement - $375,000

CT Agricultural Experiment Station - Steam leak repairs - $154,000
