Upcoming Events & Free At-Home COVID Tests

January 19, 2022

As we prepare for more snow and cold weather in the days ahead, I wanted to share information about two upcoming events as well as COVID resources.

The General Assembly will be back in session beginning February 9th. I’d love to hear from you about your priorities. On Wednesday, February 2nd, during two separate time-blocks, I will host office hours, scheduling one-on-one or small group meetings for 20 minutes. Please join me to share your questions, ideas, concerns, and solutions.

You can click here, or on the image above to RSVP to Ken Neal who serves as my legislative aide.

On Tuesday, January 25th, at 7PM we will be joined by Mike Lawlor, a criminal justice professor at the University of New Haven and the former Undersecretary for Criminal Justice at Connecticut’s Office of Policy and Management, along with Detectives Beth Leetch and George Buckmir from the Fairfield Police Department - who participated in last month's discussion - for Juvenile Criminal Justice: A Deeper Dive.

I hope you will join us! Click the button below to register for the Zoom panel. The discussion will also be streamed Live on Representative Leeper's Facebook page.

Getting Vaccinated

Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 remains our greatest effort to fight the virus, and finding a vaccine has become easier than ever with a multitude of options available to you.

Each week, the state updates its records on vaccination status by town. The table above shows us where Fairfield stands and is broken down by age group. I will note that the CDC defines fully vaccinated as two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of J&J. This data does not include booster shots.

Anyone age 5 and older is eligible to get vaccinated, boosters from all vaccines are available to anyone 16 and older, and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster is available to children ages 12 - 15 along with children aged 5 - 11 years who are immunocompromised.

You can find vaccine and vaccine booster appointments for yourself and your kids by clicking the links above, or accessing the buttons below:
