Windsor Recreation Winter Aquatics
What: Swim lessons will begin on Saturday, January 29th and will continue every Saturday through March 12th. Swim lessons are held at the indoor pool at Windsor High School. Learn this critical lifelong skill from Windsor Recreation Department's finest lifeguards.
When/Where: Windsor High School Indoor Pool. Times vary depending on lessons.
What: Since our weekly ukulele class will pick back up for an 8 week series, instructor Sue Hill would like novice players to learn about the ukulele, as well as the benefits of learning to play. Sue will lead a demo and Q & A session in the Senior Center Café, please join us!
When/Where: Thursday, January 20 starting at 11:45 AM in the Senior Center Cafe.
Windsor Senior Center Family Guide for the VA’s Basic Pension
What: We will host Patty Servaes of the Elder Benefits Resource Center. In partnership with Stonebrook Village, Patty will share the “Family Guide for the VA’s Basic Pension with Aid & Attendance in Assisted & Independent Living”. Wartime veterans and their surviving spouse may be eligible to receive a non-service connected pension known as Basic Pension with Aid and Attendance or Widow/Death Pension (Aid and Attendance).
When/Where: Tuesday, January 25 at 9:30 AM during Coffee Connection in the Senior Center Cafe.
Ages: 55 and up.

Windsor Youth Services Bureau Valentine's Day Cards for Veterans
What: Drop off your homemade Valentines for Veterans cards and we’ll make sure the cards get distributed to local Veterans’ organizations for Valentine’s Day. This activity can be a teachable moment for youth to learn who veterans are and why they are so important to our community. 860-285-1946.
When/Where: Drop off cards before 5:00 PM on Friday, January 28th at the LP Wilson Community Center.
Ages: All ages.
Windsor Youth Services Bureau Generation Vape: From Mods to Pods
What: Generation Vape: From Mods to Pods is an interactive presentation created for participants to learn about youth vaping trends, paraphernalia, accessibility, and concealment. This presentation will cover what parents/guardians need to know about the dangers of vaping, and what youth truly have access to on social media. This webinar is free.
When/Where: February 1st at 6:30 PM. Virtual via Zoom.
What: Boys to Men engages boys in activities, dialogue, and self-expression to question stereotypical concepts and to increase boys’ emotional, social, and cultural literacy. Dinner is provided at each session.
When/Where: Meets Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Millbrook Clubhouse from Feb 2 to March 30.
Windsor Youth Services Bureau Mother-Daughter Circle
What: Mother/Daughter Circle is a dynamic weekly program for mothers or female guardians to strengthen their bonds with their daughters. Dinner is provided.
When/Where: Every Monday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM from Feb 7 to March 28 at the Millbrook Clubhouse.
What: Come out to Northwest Park on Wednesday, February 16th for a guided Full Moon Hike. This moon is known as the “Full Snow Moon” because the heaviest snow usually fell during this time of year. If snow conditions permit, this will be a snowshoe hike. Bring your own snow shoes or borrow ours. If snow conditions are not adequate, this will be a traditional full moon hike.
When/Where: Wednesday, February 16 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Northwest Park.
