It's another busy week at the Capitol! There are a couple of public hearings I want to bring to your attention as I believe they are of concern for many people in our community. I encourage you to get involved with the legislative process by testifying and tracking legislation that is important to you! Housing Committee Public Hearing on
Affordable Housing Policies in CT
On Thursday at 2:00 P.M., the Housing Committee will hold a public hearing on S.B. No. 169, An Act Concerning a Study of the Effects of Affordable Housing Policies in the State. This issue is critically important to our town. As a co-sponsor of this bill, I wanted to make sure that you are aware of this opportunity to share your ideas, suggestions, and concerns. If you'd like to testify, you can register here. The deadline to register is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2nd at 3:00 P.M. You can email written testimony in Word or PDF format to HSGtestimony@cga.ct.gov at any time.

Education Committee Public Hearing on Remote Learning
The Education Committee will hold a public hearing on Friday, March 4th at 11:00 A.M. via Zoom. H.B. 5287: An Act Concerning Remote Learning in Connecticut will be raised, which would allow school districts full capability to implement remote learning days during emergencies such as bad weather or any other reasons deemed appropriate.
