Investing in Kids' Mental Health:

  • Expanding 24/7 emergency mental health response
  • Creating the Healthcare Advocate Position to help families navigate care for children and adolescents
  • Expanding mentorship opportunities
  • Creating new walk-ins for mental health emergencies
  • Providing mental health training to parents, students, and pediatricians

Addressing Crime:

  • Toughening penalties for vehicle thefts
  • Expanding alternatives to incarceration
  • More hands-on training for police
  • Addressing laboratory and case backlogs
  • More crisis training for our police 

Responding to the Climate Change Crises:

  • Establishing an Office of Aquatic Invasive Species
  • More sophisticated testing of shellfish
  • Repopulating native salmon and eel populations
  • New waste management programming
  • New incentives for consumer and commercial electric vehicles 

Meaningful Investments in Childcare:

  • Increasing funding for infant and toddler care programs
  • Increased pay to childcare workers to attract and retain more educators
  • Expanding the successful Birth to Three Program
  • Assisting local childcare facilities with renovations
  • Approving state tax credit for childcare 

Supporting Our Workers:

  • Expanding the Manufacturing Pipeline program
  • Increasing work opportunities for young adults
  • Creating a new paid internship program at DOT
  • Establishing a HVAC pipeline training program

  • Stabilizing funding for CT colleges and Universities
  • Expanding the successful LEAP attendance program

  • More tobacco prevention funding
  • Expanding screenings for breast and cervical cancer

Maintaining CT's Economic Recovery:

  • Making direct investments in community nonprofits
  • Helping community providers keep up with inflation
