English Language Learner Parent Bill of Rights

January 27, 2023

As of 2021, Connecticut schools are home to more than 45,000 ELL students and those students do worse than the national average in all grades and subjects. This bill would address inequities in education for ELL students in Connecticut public schools, such as quality interpretation services for ELL parents and students as well as detailed information about the different topics related to education or bilingual education.
