I celebrated Read Across America Day by sharing the joy of picking up a book and reading to children in the 75th district. This week, I stopped by Washington Elementary School, Hopeville Elementary School, International Dual Language School, Maloney Elementary School, and Rotella Interdistrict Magnet School.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading and spending time with some fantastic and enthusiastic kids. I have always encouraged children to appreciate reading in fun and creative ways. The goal is to inspire the next generation of book lovers!

These children have a passion for literature, and I love hearing what they have to say! Improving literacy rates is of the upmost importance to their future and the future of our neighborhoods. I am very proud to have participated in Read Across America.
