Come Meet the Inspector General!

March 15, 2023

The community is welcome to join me next week to learn more about the Inspector General’s job and how that office supports Waterbury. Inspector General Robert Devlin, Jr. will be speaking and taking questions at a community outreach event.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Wednesday, March 22
  • 6pm
  • Connecticut Junior Republic on 80 Prospect Street, Waterbury

The Office of the Inspector General is charged with several tasks including the handling of investigations involving peace officers and prosecuting cases where a peace officer is found to have used unjustifiable force. Inspector General Robert Devlin, Jr. plans to talk about the investigative process, mock case scenarios, juvenile issues, and other topics.

I will be one of three guest speakers. The other two guest speakers include Ginne-Rae Clay, President of the Greater Waterbury NAACP and Jeana Bracey, Ph.D., Associate Vice President of School and Community Initiatives at Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut.
