NEWS FOR THIS WEEK

This week, I attended a press conference to promote awareness of the Safe Haven law, which states that a distressed birth parent who is unable to care for their infant, 30 days or younger, may leave him or her with an employee at any hospital.

On Wednesday, I had the honor of meeting with some of the state's finest educators at Teachers Lobby Day for the Association Retired Teachers of Connecticut. Below, I stand with Karen O'Connell, former president of the East Hartford Education Association.

I also want to remind residents that I will be attending the South Windsor Town Council Special Meeting Monday at 7 p.m. to discuss crumbling foundations. To view the meeting's agenda, click here.

Remember to come join me in Hartford on Sunday afternoon as we celebrate UConn women's fourth consecutive NCAA national basketball championship! The team will lead the parade from the state Capitol to the steps of the XL Center, where a rally will be held.

For any questions or concerns you may have, please contact me via email or request a meeting to discuss any thoughts or concerns you may have.
