Dear Neighbor,
Recently, we received the remarkable news that the bridge spanning Decker's Brook in Windsor received a $552,000 grant from the CT Community Investment Fund. This funding completes the much-awaited Riverwalk system that connects Windsor and Hartford, and fulfills the final gap in the seven-plus mile Riverwalk system that links the region from South Windsor to the south end of Hartford and East Hartford. The Riverwalk project is an achievement for the community and the economy, creating a positive impact that will last for years to come. As someone who has passionately advocated for this project, I am honored to be co-hosting a community walking tour on Saturday, May 20 at 9 am, and I invite you to join us and experience this significant milestone firsthand.
Before advocating for funding of this project, I completed a walk on my own with the Riverfront team to see the property, and I can confidently say that the community walks provide great information on the project. I hope you will join me and the Riverfront Recapture team for this engaging community walking tour.
