Avelo Airlines is Flying to Puerto Rico!

Dear Neighbor,

Yesterday I attended a press conference where some great news was announced: Avelo Airlines will offer nonstop service between Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and Puerto Rico's San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)! Introductory one-way fares from HVN to SJU start at $99 beginning Nov. 15, 2023.

This announcement is a big win on many levels, including for Avelo Airlines' continued growth in Connecticut and the boost it will give Tweed Airport and the local economy.

It's also extremely exciting news for those with family or friends in Puerto Rico, or for anyone who simply want to experience the beauty the island holds, and I'm so proud it's happening here in New Haven. Read more about the plans here.
