CIF Grant For Windsor And Windsor Locks
October 3, 2023I am proud to share that Windsor and Windsor Locks both received a grant from Community Investment Fund 2030 (CIF) program.
The Town of Windsor is set to receive a $4 million grant to convert Wilson Park into a multi-dimensional outdoor space, which will include adding accessible parking areas / walkways, an inclusive playground, pavilions/lawn amphitheater, restrooms, art, and a large event plaza for community gatherings.
Windsor Locks will receive $4.8 million to complete a restoration of the historic train station, including public restrooms for Hartford line riders and those connecting to Bradley Airport. It will also be used to acquire Main St, adjacent to the train platform to provide a path for redevelopment into 75 units of transit-oriented, mixed-income housing.
