I am delighted to deliver more good news for downtown Waterbury. This week, the new Office of Community Development & Strategy opened to the public on Bank Street. This office will serve as a hub to rebuild our amazing city!

Shifting now to our children, I encourage all K-12 students to take part in a contest to win as much as $20,000 for their future education. They need to submit an essay, drawing, or video. Keep scrolling to learn more, but you have to act fast because the deadline to submit is approaching quickly.

More New Development Downtown!
I could not be more optimistic for the future of Waterbury as we continue to expand our downtown development! This week, city officials and others cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Office of Community Development & Strategy at 188 Bank Street, which is on a bus line.

The City's Community Development staff are responsible for implementation, administration, and management of the roughly $3.3 million in annual Community Development funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The ultimate goal is to support nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals in order to rebuild our city.
