Dear Neighbor,
Protecting Health Care Workers
Thank you to colleagues Senator Saud Anwar and State Senator Martha Marx, Administration and other legislators for the call to increased protections for professionals after the murder of visiting nurse Joyce Grayson this past week. Our Condolences & prayers to the family of nurse Grayson.
We know there is a greater need in protections of health care workers and health care systems. They should not have to worry about being kicked, punched, spit on and faced with any form of physical threats. This is not acceptable in any system. We need to take it upon ourselves in the legislature to help our health care workers and do better.

Rethinking Drug Policy Article
Great Article on Rethinking drug policy and law enforcement Mr. Lawlor. * Traditional approaches to combating drug use, such as the War on Drugs, have become rooted in criminalization and punishment without addressing the root causes of drug addiction and harm. As a retired law enforcement officer and leader in the fight to combat the overdose epidemic, I am advocating for a more progressive and compassionate approach that considers the complex nature of drug use and puts public health and safety first.
