Military Burial Service in Middletown
This week I was honored to witness six souls of veterans brought to their eternal resting space at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT. The military burial service was provided to the unclaimed cremains of these six individuals veterans for their service to our country
These individuals’ cremains while not claimed, are not forgotten. I pray they rest peacefully among fellow brothers and sisters in our State Veterans Cemetery.
Thank you to Commissioner of CT Veterans Affairs Commissioner Welch and Staff, General Evon (CT National Guard) the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, Office of Governor Ned Lamont, Office of Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Senator Richard Blumenthal, The Connecticut National Guard, Connecticut Patriot Guard Riders Connecticut State Police & Middletown Police.

Veterans and Military Affairs Committee Informational
Thank you to everyone who came out to advocate for Veterans for the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee Informational. Your voice was heard especially in the area's of 100% Disabled Veterans/Veterans tax relief, Benifits and License's. This has been a priority for me since becoming House Chair of the VMA Committee.

ArrayRx Conversation with Comptroller Scanlon

Vets Rock at Mohegan Sun
This Saturday at Mohegan sun they will celebrate active duty military and Veterans for a day of valuable programs and resources. Vets Rock is focused on enhancing the lives of our service members through a job fair, Veteran service organizations and other resources.
An opening ceremony hosted by Gil Simmons will be held at 11am at The Shops at Mohegan Sun. After, join us from 12pm-4pm in the Uncasville Ballroom for the Vets Rock Expo.
Veteran Service Organizations, Educational Services and companies looking to provide benefits to Veterans and military members will host tables and offer services. A job fair will also be available during the expo to assist service members and their families in accessing career opportunities.
Yale New Haven Health will be providing complimentary flu shots to all attendees.

I had the great opportunity to stop by Saint Sophia's Church for the Greek Food Festival. There was an enormous spread of Greek Food and deserts. Please stop by and taste some of the best Greek food in the City of New London, Connecticut.

New London Whalers Cheer Team Champions
Big big congratulations to City of New London, Connecticut 12U Cheer. New London Whalers took first place at states this week. Now they go on to Regionals....Wishing you continued success and good times. Special shout out to the coaches and parents for keeping the girls focused full of energy, excitement and amazing. Your motivation brings our young queens to a different level.

Sunrise Cafe Grand Night Opening
This week I was joined by Mayor Michael Passero & Mary, City of New London, Connecticut Council President Reona Dyess for a business extended hours. Thank you to Sunrise Cafe for extending your cafe hours 6PM to 2AM. It was a Grand Night Opening this week.
They are located at 36 Golden St, New London, CT 06320. Come on down, taste some great food, fellowship and meet some people.

The 3rd annual Holiday showcase is starting Nov 11 with local artists, providing unique, one of a kind items, including ornaments, small art, jewelry, apparel and much more!
