What I Heard at Office Hours

September 24, 2025

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who came out to my office hours last Friday, and a big thank you to Molten Java for hosting us. These conversations are invaluable in shaping the work I do on your behalf.

Many neighbors shared how they’re feeling the squeeze, whether it’s property taxes, energy rates, or the rising cost of groceries. Affordability remains a top concern, especially for families and seniors on fixed incomes.

It was also powerful to connect with individuals on more personal issues. I spoke with a mom advocating for students with disabilities who are working toward an independent life, and I met with a mother who spoke with me about ensuring our state is inclusive and safe for everyone.

Your input helps me bring real, lived experiences to Hartford, and I’ll continue to advocate for policies that reflect the needs and priorities of our community.

If you couldn’t attend, I’d still love to hear from you. Please feel free to reply to this email or contact my office directly with your concerns. And stay tuned, there will be more office hours coming soon.

Sincerely,

Raghib Allie-Brennan
State Representative
