State Rep.Michael D'Agostino, D-Hamden, is currently serving his third term as the representative for Hamden's 91st District, which covers neighborhoods running from Whitneyville and Ridge Hill to the West Rock Ridge area up to West Woods. He is Assistant Majority Whip in the House and currently serves on the General Law, Planning and Development, Commerce, and Legislative and Executive Nominations committees.

Prior to his election to the General Assembly, state Rep. D’Agostino served as a member of the Hamden Board of Education. First elected in 1999, his fellow board members elected him to serve as the board’s chairman in 2005. Prior to his service on the Board of Education, state Rep. D'Agostino served as a member of the Farmington Canal Commission, where he helped oversee the plans to complete the popular canal trail connecting Hamden and New Haven. He also served as a Hamden Police Commissioner.

In addition to his state and local service, state Rep. D'Agostino is on the Board of Directors of Connecticut Appleseed, a statewide, non-profit organization that mobilizes the skills and resources of pro bono lawyers and other professionals to improve access to education, health care, financial and other services for the state’s less-fortunate residents.
