Federal Grant to Improve the Cross Sound Ferry Terminal
I had the great opportunity earlier this month to join, Rep. Joe Courtney, Sen. Blumenthal and local leaders to highlight a $3.9 million federal grant they helped secure to make significant infrastructure improvements to the Cross Sound Ferry Terminal in New London, Connecticut.
This grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration will be used for the construction of a new bulkhead, relocation and installation of new mooring dolphins, construction and installation of two new ferry ramps, a slip, a floating loading platform, and re-sheeting of a section of the existing bulkhead.
Thank you to our Federal Delegation for continually supporting the City of New London.
Big thanks to the Ferry owners John and Adam Wronowski and family on receiving this well-deserved funding and for the several decades of service to and from New London, CT.

Deputy Speaker Appointment
I'm proud to announce that I have been appointed Deputy Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives by Speaker of the House Matt Ritter. In this leadership role, I will preside over the House of Representatives during sessions when the Speaker is absent from the chamber, guiding legislative debates and proceedings.
It has been an honor serving as the Chair for the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, and I can't wait for this next step in my legislative career.
In addition to my new responsibilities as Deputy Speaker, I will continue serving on the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, where I have been a strong advocate for Connecticut’s service members and their families. I will also remain a member of the Appropriations and Internship Committees and take on a new role as a member of the Aging Committee. |
