Standing with Rep. Corey ParisThe recent New York Times report makes it crystal clear: ICE’s reckless and dishonest actions put lives in danger. By wrongly suggesting that Rep. Corey Paris—a respected, hardworking public servant—doxxed their agents, they didn’t just lie, they lit a fuse. And the fallout has been disgusting: racist death threats, intimidation, and an attempt to silence one of the strongest voices for justice in our state.
Let’s be very real—this wasn’t a mistake. This was a flagrant push to deflect, to distract, and to create a dangerous target out of a Black lawmaker who has consistently stood up for his community and fought for the good of the people. Instead of accountability, ICE chose scapegoating. Instead of facts, they chose fear. And instead of protecting the public, they endangered one of our own.
We cannot, and will not, accept this. Rep. Corey Paris has been a tireless advocate for equity, fairness, and community safety. To see him attacked with lies and racism, amplified by a government agency, is beyond outrageous—it’s an assault on democracy itself.
I stand shoulder to shoulder with my brother, colleague and friend. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. And we will not let ICE—or anyone else—turn their failures into weapons against those who fight for justice.

Salvation Army Celebration and Fundraiser
I had a great opportunity to attend the Salvation Army Celebration & Fundraiser at Stone Acres Farm. It was an inspiring evening that highlighted the incredible work being done in our community.
The event raised awareness and support for the Red Shield Youth Center, a place that gives our young people a safe and positive environment to learn, grow, and build their futures. Spaces like this are vital in helping guide the next generation and making sure every child has the chance to succeed.
Grateful to the Salvation Army, the sponsors, and everyone who came together to make this event possible. Our community is stronger when we invest in our youth.
