From my family to yours, I want to take a moment to send my best wishes for the holiday season, and express that it is my sincere honor to represent you and work on issues that matter to our community and Connecticut.

Remember that as we celebrate, we also share many blessings, so in the spirit of the season, please spread joy and make these holidays truly special.

I hope the holidays bring you peace, happiness and good health today, tomorrow, in the New Year, and beyond it.
 
Wreaths Across America
This week hundreds of people showed great appreciation to come out for Wreaths Across America where over 1000's of Wreaths were laid at the headstones of our fallen heroes. Big thank you to the numerous volunteers that came out to help and give support on this amazing day. Thank you to the sponsors, donors and community leaders that made this day amazing.
 
Manchester Veterans Coffee Event
Had the great opportunity to speak before Veterans at the Manchester Veterans Coffee along with Daniel Reily from Senator Blumenthal's Office. This is part of my tour to talk to veterans throughout the State of CT. I had a great conversation on DMV, veteran tax relief, and license reciprocity. Thank you to all that came out.

Santa Visit at The Center
Santa Bro & Elf LiLi came out visiting The Center: A Drop in Community Learning & Resource Center Inc with Councilor Reona Dyess. Santa Bro had a great time with the youth, also learned how to do the dance called "The Griddy"
 
Rollin' with Rep. Nolan - United Way of Southeastern Connecticut
This week on Rollin' with Rep. Nolan, I had a conversation with leaders of the United Way of Southeastern .
The nonprofit organization is invested in a vital network of local health and human service programs and initiatives that work together to provide a safety net of services that create real, lasting change in New London County.
Their four key areas of impact are basic needs, community wellness, promoting independence, and thriving children, and they do so much to help make our community great.

United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Visit
This week I had the great opportunity to visit the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut meet up with State Representative Derell Wilson and State Representative Kevin Ryan . We met with Annie Stockton & staff to hear about the United Ways Vision along with the amazing work they do in the New London County communities. Clean Slate Law Enactment
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that more than 80,000 people in Connecticut are expected to have convictions for certain old, low-level offenses automatically cleared from their criminal records over the next month as the state nears full implementation of the recently enacted Clean Slate Law.

Approved by the Connecticut General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Lamont in 2021, the Clean Slate Law was adopted to remove barriers to jobs, education, and housing that people who have been convicted of low-level offenses have often faced, provided that they have completed their sentences and have remained crime-free for a specified number of years. The goal is to empower people to advance their careers, obtain stable housing, and experience the successful second chance they’ve earned.Eligibility for automated erasure of old, low-level offenses

 
New DCF Commissioner
Big congratulations to our new Commissioner. Jodi Lilly was recently nominated by Governor Ned Lamont DCF Commissioner for the State of Connecticut. Congratulations to Commissioner Dorantes for her numerous years of service who will soon departs DCF in January, Hill-Lilly will immediately begin serving as the agency’s interim commissioner until her confirmation by the legislature as commissioner.
 
Teen Thrive Hub
Big thank you to Shiloh Development Center - Brittany Watts, Grace Carlos & Aracelis Vasquez Haye for presenting "TEEN THRIVE HUB" to the City of New London, Connecticut community. This will be a new space dedicated to helping teens and their families build a foundation for health and harmony.

This week they had an amazing expo to gain insights into the program explaining and showing available resources/colaborations. This program is designed for Middle School Teens (grades 6, 7, , and their Caregivers, offering bi-monthly gatherings led by local experts and practitioners.

 
New London Police Officer Job Opening
