(CHAMP) Affordable Housing Funding Welcome

April 18, 2017

I welcome news from the governor’s office that a $23 million commitment has been made to support affordable housing developments in various state communities including Bridgeport.

The investment, which requires State Bonding Commission approval, will support more than 200 affordable housing units across the state that will contribute toward ending homelessness. Click here for a related news story.

I am pleased that Gov. Malloy has included Bridgeport for this important housing development. Working to end homelessness and provide affordable dwellings to those who need it most is always encouraging.

The other five communities that made the tenth round of financing are Hartford, Middletown, New Britain, North Haven and Norwich.
