I'd be remiss if I didn't recognize and thank our first responders and members of the community who stepped up to help -- including distributing water -- during last week's water main break on Sand Pit Hill.
It’s during the holidays that we’re reminded just how much we owe our first responders and public safety teams. While so many of us are able to relax with family, our police, fire, EMS, public works, public utilities, military personnel, emergency dispatchers and others who remain on duty ready to respond when emergencies happen.
Thank you also to Todd and his team at Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast for donating over 38,000 bottles of water to our city. The generous contribution will go a long way in supporting our residents.
A special thank you as well to Boomer and the crew at Modzelewski's Recovery & Heavy Hauling for always stepping up when our community needs it, and to Emergency Management Director Matt Cassavechia for his tireless work keeping Danbury prepared and our residents safe. Proud of the teamwork that makes our city stronger. |
