Connecticut has launched a new online jobs portal aimed at assisting state residents — and those seeking to move here — in the process of finding a job.

The new portal - jobs.ct.gov - joins health.ct.gov and business.ct.gov as the next service category in Connecticut's ongoing evolution toward a more digital state government that streamlines and improves access to state services and resources.

As a result of fiscally responsible budgeting by the legislature and governor, significant tax relief is on the way for many Connecticut taxpayers in 2024.

Three tax relief measures went into effect on January 1, including the largest income tax cut in state history, an increase in a tax credit aimed at the lowest-income workers, and an expansion of exemptions on certain pension and annuity earnings that will benefit seniors.

Great news! The State Bond Commission approved $750,000 to fund the town-approved Berlin Police Department renovations during its meeting on Friday.

I am thrilled to announce that when the State Bond Commission meets next Friday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. in Hartford, that a $750,000 bonding request to fund the town-approved Berlin Police Department renovations is on the agenda.

Since 1980, March has been designated as a time where we celebrate and reflect upon the women who have inspired change throughout history, and recognize those who continue to fight for the fair and equitable treatment of women and girls in Berlin, Cheshire and Meriden, across our country and around the world.
