Last week, Governor Lamont signed into law a bill that will allow cameras to be installed in residential care facilities so families can keep an eye on their loved ones. This bill came out of the Aging Committee this past session.

Whether it's our first responders, veterans, nurses, teachers, or other skilled workers, it is important that we continue to invest in and protect the people who keep our communities safe and running.

As the 2026 legislative session wrapped up, State Representative Maryam Khan & I were honored to welcome the Windsor High School Football, Boys' Basketball, & Girls' Track teams to celebrate their state championship wins. They came to Hartford to be recognized & presented citations before the General Assembly on May 6. Here are my remarks from that day!

Approximately 17 people die each day waiting for an organ they didn't receive in time. A single organ donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of more than 75 others through tissue and cornea donations. Less than 60% of American adults are registered donors.
