Supporting the Housing Bill

Many residents in our district may not feel directly impacted, but some of our family, friends, and neighbors are. I have spoken to residents in Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Haddam who are working families trying to purchase a home in their hometown or to move to a bigger home to accommodate their growing children, young people starting their careers looking for affordable rental units, and "empty-nesters" and seniors looking to downsize from larger homes to a smaller homes or rental units. They all want to remain in their communities and contribute to our local economies.
