HarborFest

SoundWaters HarborFest will take place this Saturday, August 28 from 10am – 9pm along the Harbor Point Waterfront.  In regards to public events, I recommend huge caution considering the current situation with the Variant Delta.

However, I also believe it is important to inform the public of some of the activities around the city and district.

CHESLA Scholarships

August 15, 2021

Below is a message from the The Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority:

The Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority (CHESLA) announced that its annual scholarship program will distribute $543,000 in financial assistance among 188 Connecticut students for the 2021-2022 academic year. 

Maximum awards are $3,000 for a full-time student and $1,500 for a part-time student enrolled at a degree granting institution. The awardees represent 80 Connecticut towns cities and 20 Connecticut colleges and universities.
