Last week the Connecticut Department of Housing announced $33 million in federal and state funds will be allocated to help renters, homeowners, and residential landlords impacted by the global pandemic with housing costs.

Monday state leaders announced $33 million in state and federal resources will be allocated to help renters, homeowners, and residential landlords impacted by COVID-19.

Over 40,000 Connecticut residents have become sick with COVID-19, many of them are front-line workers who got sick at work. Co-Chairs of the Insurance Committee and Labor Committee held an oversight hearing to discuss how worker's compensation can help people who've contracted COVID-19 while on the job. 

The planned Phase 2 reopening has been moved forward to June 17, 2020 to avoid having it take effect during the busy Father's Day weekend. It had previously been scheduled for Saturday, June 20.

School districts will be able to hold in-person graduation ceremonies starting July 6, 2020 as long as they follow strict guidelines, including requirements that the graduations are held outdoors, they are limited to a maximum of 150 people in attendance (including graduates), and follow social distancing protocols.

Time is running out as Access Health CT deadlines approach for residents that lost health insurance due to job loss. People can enroll any time within 60 days of losing their job, but the deadline to enroll is approaching fast for those who lost their health insurance in early April.
