It was another productive week at the Capitol, with committees working hard in public hearings and passing bills out of the committee. Over the next few weeks, committees will be wrapping up their work for the 2026 session as bills move to the House and Senate floors to be voted on. Last Thursday was a busy day at the Capitol, when the House convened for session, and I joined some of my colleagues to unveil the new specialty license plate honoring the Borinqueneers. It was another busy week up in Hartford at the Capitol, as committees have begun holding meetings and public hearings, and I am meeting with state and local officials to discuss the work we are doing this session.

The three committees I serve on, Finance, Revenue and Bonding, Veterans' and Military Affairs, and Commerce, all held meetings this week to raise concepts for the legislative session.

This Wednesday was opening day of the 2026 Legislative session. My colleagues and I are gearing up for a busy short session, working hard to pass critical legislation through May 6th. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve New Britain in the Connecticut General Assembly.

The Connecticut General Assembly's legislative session is set to begin the first week of February. As we prepare for the legislative session, I want to hear from you all about the issues that matter most to New Britain residents.
