Little Ark Farm Receives Farm Transition Grant from CT DoAg
February 27, 2025The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) has announced recipients of the 2025 Farm Transition Grant to bolster agricultural production of both new and existing farm operations. Congratulations to Little Ark Farm in Enfield for receiving one of these grants. The farm sells duck eggs, honey, pickles, certified organic veggies, and cut flowers. The farm will use the $3,9000 to purchase equipment and seeds to produce and gauge demand for dried bean production.
Severe Winter Weather Protocol in Effect Until February 22
February 14, 2025Governor Lamont announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a blast of arctic temperatures and breezy winds over the next several days, he is directing the state’s severe cold weather protocol to go into effect beginning at 6 p.m. on February 16 and remaining in effect through noon on February 22.
