I hope you are having a great week. I joined the Housing Committee chairs and Westport elected officials at Susie’s House, which is a deed restricted home that will be open to at-risk and homeless women ages 18-24. I was honored to receive an award in recognition of the End Homelessness Caucus along with Reps. Antonio Felipe and Kadeem Roberts.

Hope you had a safe and fun St. Patrick's Day! I marched in the Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade alongside a few of my colleagues, as well as Lt. Governor Bysiewicz and Congresswoman DeLauro.

These past few weeks have been jam packed with long committee meetings, session days, and press conferences to promote strong pieces of legislation.

Last Thursday, the newly formed End Homelessness caucus held a press conference to outline our legislative priorities. It was an honor to stand with so many individuals who are equally committed to ending homelessness. In addition to Rep. Kadeem Roberts, who is the chair of this caucus, we were joined by a bipartisan group of legislators, as well as representatives from several organizations, including Coalition to End Homelessness, Open Doors, and The Housing Collective.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Hamden Town Hall earlier this month! We had a great discussion about our goals for the legislative session and beyond.
