I am proud to receive a 100 percent score from the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) based on my voting record during the 2021 legislative session and to have been a major advocate of environmentally friendly measures.

The mental health and well-being of our state's youth and families is a leading priority this session.

I am looking forward to hosting a conversation along with my colleague Rep. John-Michael Parker and panelists from the Women and Family Life Center including Jennifer Wenderoth-Holster, Exec. Director; Melanie Meyers, Referral Navigator; Destiny Stackhouse, Referral Navigator about the resources available for women and families in crisis.

As you probably are aware, we started the 2022 legislative session pretty quickly with a house vote to decide which of the Governor’s eleven executive orders needed to be put in statute temporarily over the next few months. Most of them, except for vaccine mandates on teachers and state workers, were codified into law for a variety of short time periods.

We celebrate the achievements, accomplishments and contributions Black Americans have made to this country, of which there are many, each February during National Black History Month.
