Dear Neighbor,

On Friday, May 2nd, I had the honor of hosting the 34th Annual Polish Day at the State Capitol, a celebration of Polish heritage and the 234th Anniversary of the Polish Constitution of 1791. Each year, this event honors the heritage, culture, and contributions of Connecticut's Polish American community, especially here in New Britain, or "The Polish Capitol of Connecticut".

I was proud to be joined by state leaders, including Governor Ned Lamont, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Vice Consul Mateusz Debowicz of the Polish Consulate of New York, and many community leaders and members.

During the event, we took a moment to recognize several community members for their significant contributions:

  • Terry Gerratana
  • Kevin Witkos
  • Kevin Cwikla
  • Jon Zagrodzky
  • Adam Formus
  • Edward "Butch" Dzwonkowski

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a success. I look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come!

Sincerely,

Dave DeFronzo
State Representative
