Absentee Voting Bill Passes House
July 23, 2020Today we took a major step toward ensuring a safe voting experience in November.
The House passed, by a vote of 144-2, a bill that allows for absentee ballot voting to ensure safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Temp Safety Coordinators Positions At Foodshare
July 21, 2020Foodshare is hiring part time (approx. 30 hrs./week) temporary staff to work as Safety Coordinators at Mobile Foodshare sites across Hartford and Tolland Counties. The position involves travel across our service area to 3-4 sites per day. Must have a reliable vehicle. Safety Coordinators must be punctual and work well with diverse populations.
Remembering John Lewis
July 20, 2020Over the weekend, America lost one of its distinguished heroes. John Lewis spent his 80 years fighting for equality for African Americans. He played an integral role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. He served as the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and at 23 years old he helped organize the March on Washington.
Police Accountability Legislation Announced

DMV Reopens On Limited Basis
