Rep. Hall Welcomes Additional Bond Funds for HFCRP

August 8, 2025
Representative Hall welcomes $4.7 million for the Hartford Flood Compensation and Relief Programs.

I'm happy to welcome $4.7 million in state bond funding to fulfill the current obligations of the Hartford Flood Compensation & Relief Programs (HFCRP).

The funding is expected to cover the inspections and payouts of the outstanding 139 applications received before the December 2024 deadline. These Hartford residents and business owners should expect to be contacted by the Office of the State Comptroller in the coming weeks.

Based on average claim payouts, the Office of the State Comptroller does not anticipate having unspent funds, nor reopening the programs for additional applications.

The Hartford Flood Relief and Compensation Program was included in the Governor’s 2024-25 biennium budget and is a first-of-its-kind program. It has helped keep businesses open, allowed families to stay in their homes, and compensated for irreplaceable items lost to flooding. I want to thank Governor Lamont and the Bond Commission for including this additional $4.7 million for the Hartford Flood Compensation & Relief Programs so that we can further remediate and compensate for the flooding issues in the City of Hartford.
