Accomplishments of 2025
June 27, 2025I wanted to share some of the accomplishments made in the Children's Committee and for the City of Stamford in the state budget. I'm proud of the work we did, both for the city and the state.
Stamford will receive more than $3 million in Fiscal Year 2026 compared to Fiscal Year 2025 (which includes the SEED Grant) and more than $3 million in Fiscal Year 2027 compared to Fiscal Year 2025 (also including the SEED Grant).
What is the SEED Grant? It stands for Special Education and Expansion Development funding. Stamford will receive $246,888 in each fiscal year in SEED Grants. These grants will help build capacity to serve students closer to home.
