Minimum wage workers are moving closer to a living wage. The House approved House Bill 5004 to increase the minimum wage incrementally over the next few years to $15 in 2023.

I joined with colleagues Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, State Representatives Lucy Dathan, Chris Perone and Norwalk Federation of Teachers President Mary Yordon to highlight the full state funding for local Norwalk education in the Democratic state budget passed last week in the Appropriations Committee.

I was pleased to join with Detective Derrick Walker, NPD and AARP John Coates presenting - The Con Artist Playbook at the Lucy Robbins Welles Library in Newington. It was an informative event where constituents came to listen and learn how to protect themselves from scams and frauds.

I am determined to champion the daunting challenge of neighborhood pharmacies like Weston’s that are slammed with Pharmacy Benefits Manager restrictions, ‘claw backs’ costs, DIR fees and delays in reimbursement that are unsustainable for our pharmacies that are trying to compete.
