Hartford, CT – State Representatives Amy Morrin Bello (D-Wethersfield) and Kerry Wood (D- Newington, Rocky Hill, Wethersfield) applauded the approval of a $4 million grant for Wethersfield by Governor Lamont and the State Bond Commission during their meeting today at the Legislative Office Building.

We passed an emergency-certification bill in the House that will ease some of the financial burden on Connecticut residents and working families whose wallets and budgets have taken a hit due to rising gas prices and record-breaking inflation levels.

Wednesday, March 16, was Small Business Development Center Day. Small Business Development Center Day celebrates the positive impact that the development centers have had on small and local businesses. Last year, the 28 Connecticut-based centers helped launch 184 businesses.

On International Women’s Day and everyday, I am grateful be one among the many wonderful women working together in the House of Representatives.

The CT Public Utility Regulatory Authority has required the United Illuminating Company and Eversource to establish direct toll free phone numbers for residents to call to ask questions about vegetation management/ tree trimming and pruning.

I will be holding a virtual forum on Tuesday, March 8th at 6pm with Erika Haynes from the School and State Finance Project that I hope you will be able to join.

I am proud to receive a 100% on the CT League of Conservation Voter's scorecard in 2021 and will continue to advocate and vote for important environmental legislation that comes before the House this session.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, public hearings will be virtual for the 2022 session. Virtual hearings give residents the opportunity to have their voices heard without traveling to Hartford.
