Keep in mind a winter storm can:

  • Last a few hours or several days.
  • Cut off heat, power and communication services.
  • Put older adults, children and sick individuals at greater risk.

Strong winds have the potential to cause power outages and other damage that could impact internet, TV and phone service. 

 

Eversource's online storm preparedness provides alerts and steps you can take before, during and after a storm to be safe and prepared.
 
United Illuminating also provides tools for customers to report outages and sign up for outage alerts.


 

Optimum is monitoring the network and will report any significant impacts to the system. In the event services are impacted, customers can visit My Account  for service updates.
