Windsor COVID Test-Kit Distribution Update

January 5, 2022
Following yesterday's distribution of COVID-19 Test-Kits in Windsor, the Town has issued an update about kits and masks. They are aware that sadly many of you were not able to get kits or masks, so please see there response, as well as the latest COVID stats from the State below.

Update from the Town of Windsor
"We understand the frustration felt by many residents regarding yesterday’s COVID-19 test kit distribution. The limited supply of kits we received from the state, together with an overwhelming turnout, resulted in a distribution event that could not accommodate everyone in attendance.

The distribution was scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. However, the overwhelming amount of vehicles created unsafe traffic conditions that forced us to open the event early to maintain safety resulting in supplies being depleted prior to 5:30 PM.

Moving forward, we would look to utilize various methods of distribution. We will also be looking to make N-95 masks available for pick up at the L.P. Wilson and 330 Windsor Avenue Community Centers, both the main and Wilson Branch libraries and town hall during regular operating hours. Finally, a portion of test kits have been distributed, or are on reserve, for our most vulnerable, at-risk and homebound residents.

We thank you for your understanding and patience as we manage the complexities of this never relenting pandemic."
