How should Hamden use ARPA funds?

February 24, 2022
The Town of Hamden - like many communities - has faced exacerbating challenges over the last 2 years. While we have maintained our strength and resilience, Hamden still experienced economic impacts.

I am fortunate to report that through the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Hamden is projected to receive $24,140,337.11. How would you like to see Hamden utilize ARPA dollars?

Do you want...
If so, you should participate in the upcoming input session.

On Thursday, March 3rd at 7PM, the Town of Hamden is holding its second Community Input Session on how ARPA funds should be used. This is your opportunity to let our Town officials know what improvements you want to see made throughout Hamden. This session is in-person only and will be held at the Board of Ed. Gym at 60 Putnam Ave.

You can submit input via email to ARPA@Hamden.com. Before submitting input, please make sure your request meets ARPA funding eligibility.

Eligible Use:

  • Public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigation efforts.
  • Combat negative economic impacts to the community.
  • Premium pay for employees fighting the pandemic.
  • Restoring services cut due to pandemic shortfalls.

If you cannot make next week's session, there will be at least two more Community Input Sessions. I will provide additional dates as soon as I receive them.
