Speaker Ritter & Majority Leader Rojas Name Rep. Nolan Chair of the Committee on Veterans' Affairs

Speaker of the House Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) today announced the appointments U.S. Navy veteran, Rep. Anthony Nolan as House Chair of the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.

“I’m honored that Speaker Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas have trusted in me to serve as Chair of the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs,” Rep. Nolan said. “I’ve been proud to devote my career to service. Whether serving as a member of the U.S. Navy, or in my work on the New London Police Department, I understand the sense of duty and sacrifice that our veterans and active duty military experience, and have seen first-hand the struggles they face. I’m looking forward to serving in this new role, and am eager to get to work for our state’s veterans and service members.”
