Dear Neighbor,

Today, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that workers will be requiring additional hours of work for the High Friction Surface Treatment project that has been ongoing in Ellington, East Windsor, and the surrounding area.

Motorists can expect lane closures at any hour on the following roadways:  U.S. Route 6 (Bristol), 31 (Coventry), 68 (Cheshire), 69 (Bristol), 74 (Ellington), 140 (East Windsor), 191 (East Windsor), 192 (Enfield), 197 (Union), 322 (Wolcott), 533 (Vernon/Bolton), and 534 (Manchester).

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 30 (South Windsor) between 6AM-4PM.

This project consists of pavement resurfacing, High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) application, and pavement marking work in Central Connecticut. The work will consist of the mill and overlay of inadequate pavement, application of HFST, and the removal/installation of pavement markings at horizontal curves on State-owned and maintained roads.

I will continue to keep you updated on this project as they become available.

Sincerely,

Jaime Foster
State Representative
