Rep. Williams was not only my colleague but a great friend. I am deeply grateful that I got the chance to work with him. His leadership and mentor ship helped me during my first year as a legislator. Since day one, he have had my back and wanted people to see the many layers of who I am. This past December, Rep. Williams invited me to teach a theater workshop at his school in Stamford.
He said, “I want them to see someone like you in the arts, teaching theater.”. The First Black State Rep of Middletown, an accomplished educator and advocate. He accomplished so much. But beyond all, he was great person and friend.
Please hold up his wife, Carrissa, mother Ms. Queen, The General Assembly, family, friends and his students. May God grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding!
