Serving as Your New State Representative

March 7, 2023

I am proud to serve as your new State Representative of the 6th district! I was sworn in on Monday at the State Capitol surrounded by friends and family in the House chamber. I want to thank you for voting for me in a special election that took place on February 28. I will be taking over for my friend, former Representative Edwin Vargas, who did a great job bringing change to Hartford and West Hartford

While I'm now handling new responsibilities, I am no stranger to public service. I served on Hartford City Council from 2015 until 2023.

I plan on using my experience to help the people of our district. I want to revitalize neighborhoods that have been long forgotten. I want to prioritize education funding. We need more resources to support our students and educators. One of my other goals is to address environmental issues around the state including the remediation of the MIRA property in Hartford.

want to thank my beautiful wife, Jacqueline Nadal-Sánchez, and the rest of my family for their unwavering support. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues including Sen. John Fonfara, Rep. Joseph Gresko, and Rep. Julio Concepción, who are the respective chairs of the committees I will be serving on.”

I will be serving on the Environment, Executive and Legislative Nominations, and Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committees for the 2023 Legislative Session.
