I had a great time with Tracey's first-grade students for an afternoon reading " I Promise" by Lebron James and "Cat and Dog" by Jonathan Bentley.

I thank all the parents, caregivers, educators, librarians, authors, and community members who invest in our Nation's children and spend time reading with them.

The value of literacy to our democracy cannot be understated, and reading to our children helps to inspire and expand their curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
